All right Furyan fans, we have a teaser poster / concept art from the forthcoming sequel to the Chronicles of Riddick movie, currently Tagged as "Riddick 3".
Casting on the sequel has begun and a hasty mid-September movie shoot is already being planned. And rumors from the script that has leaked to the Web via Moviehole.com are circulating fast.
Here are some exerts from the aforementioned site, which gives a rough pitch for Riddick 3:
________________________
Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Vin Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.

The poster shown on the left is from one of the video games that was released a few years ago, tied to the franchise. And it featured Vin Diesel as the voice actor for the main gaming character.
Riddick 3 [often just called "Riddick"] is a direct sequel to the original breakout movie in the series staring Vin Diesel, called Pitch Black – the events of this new movie tie back into that original film – but at the same time it takes place after the events in The Chronicles of Riddick. In much the same way the upcoming Dark Knight Rises will tie up any loose threads and plot points from Batman Begins, Riddick 3 will return to the mystery and monsters at the center of Pitch Black.
According to io9.com, Various character names from the recently commenced casting rounds are swimming across the Web, including "Alpha Kid", "Commander Krone", "Lord Vaako" [from the former TCOR storyline] and there will also be "Consorts" and "Mercs". The Consorts are hot chicks that play the role of seductresses, and the Mercs are the familiar galactic bounty hunter gangs that will probably attempt to capture Riddick for a steep fee...
Those last two concepts almost remind me of the setting in the Fast and Furious movies, where you have competitive drivers who want to kill Vin [like Mercs] and the beautiful morenas and borequas wearing short-shorts and mini-skirts, who all want to sleep with Vin [like the Consorts].... I'm just sayin'....
Anyway, Here’s the description of the opening moments of the screenplay [from the guys at Moviehole.com]:
We meet LORD MARSHAL Riddick. Nobody much likes that Riddick’s royalty now (he loves it; he gets to screw hot chicks) – as evident by the assassins that try and take him out at any and every opportunity – especially the necromancers, who are dead against the anointment of a furyan as a leader.
In exchange for the title, Riddick’s reluctant right-hand man and necro called Vaako (Karl Urban’s character from the previous film; Urban will likely do it since the character is only in it for a short while) agrees to drop Riddick off at his home, Furya.
One thing leads to another and, much like the first film, Riddick finds himself stranded on a monster-infested planet. Instead of it leading to a rescue mission, his distress beacon catches the attention of a couple of merc teams (it would seem Vaako had dispatched them to kill Riddick while he’s isolated; not entirely true) who go after him with ill intentions.
One of the teams is lead by someone connected to an old enemy… someone from ”Pitch Black”.

And here is a brief summary from Moviehole.com, about the entire script that they briefly saw:
In a nutshell, the movie sees Riddick back on a barren planet, surrounded by monsters and mercenaries – both species who want him dead and vice versa. Though there’s a couple of potential cameos from previous Riddick movie faves, it’s mostly fresh blood this time surrounding the big guy. And speaking of fresh, the character seems to have gotten a welcome, kick-ass overhaul….he’s more brutal, bad-ass and virile (as some may say) than he was in the previous films.
