CUSTOM ARMORED DEATHSTROKE TOY [MARVEL LEGENDS SCALE] BY DSNG!

Here's another custom from this year 2017. And this is my second Armored Deathstroke custom, since he is one of my top 5 – 7 DC Comics characters. BTW, the first Deathstroke I made last year [2016] was recently posted in this DSNG blog, over HERE. And it looks different, since it didn’t have the same armor like this guy.

The base figure for this Armored Deathstroke was Marvel Legends Blizzard, and I had to fully sculpt the new body armor for him. Some of the weapons came from the Casting Cave Website [which had the perfect duplicates of Deadpool’s weapons that I needed], and some of the other weapons were custom made [like the long hybrid staff / nightstick, which is holstered at his back]. His hands came from Marvel Legends Whirlwind, and I cut the plastic holing down the trigger finger, thus setting it free. The deep-sea blue and flat orange paints for this Armored Deathstroke were done with Tamiya, before he was weathered with silver streaks from acrylic paint and also silver sharpie markers. Next, the gun holsters were cut and shaped from slim cardboard [used for posters or presentation projects], then wrapped with duct tape, and then painted wit metallic gray, and finally glued to his body at various points.

And his helmet was custom made with putty layers. The blaster adhered on his back is held via a small 5mm magnet, and I had to sculpt the back-holster for his custom nightstick.

In one of the pics, he is holding a long "Dr. Wu Double Pole sword" purchased from China [I got it via ebay; I think its "two for 10 bucks"]. Stay tuned for more!

CUSTOM SNIPER DEADSHOT TOY [MARVEL LEGENDS SCALE] BY DSNG!

Been posting a lot of old stuff lately. But this is something new... I built this sleek guy earlier this year [2017]. Deadshot is one of my fav DC Comics characters, and I like just between 5 to 7 of them, because I'm very picky ;)

And this Sniper Deadshot took a long time, per the details I added. The base figure was ML Captain America from the Civil War 3-pack. The modified head came from Disco Iron-Man [I think it's Mark 27] and the hands came from Marvel Legends Whirlwind. His body-armor was sculpted from putty, and his arm-cannons were sculpted as well, while I cut and used the interior tube of an empty ink pen to create the slim central gun-barrels of his arm-cannons. The extra gun cartridges on his thighs were sculpted and glued into place, and I did some sculpting for his shoulder-pads and boots as well.

Then I painted him Tamiya gloss red. And his entire body had a base coat of black. His red body was weathered with black shoe polish... yeah, that's right... that stuff is almost like solid paint, which can be cleaned off with a wet napkin, before it dries... I like it, but I just don't like using shoe-wax / shoe polish for adding tones to human muscles, like on the body of a He-man or Conan, because black is not good for that... technically, a shade of brown polish is more realistic and it looks better in that scenario ;)

Anyway, Deadshot's handguns and his right thigh's gun harness came from ML Deadpool, and I also bought some more handguns from Casting cave!! [Shout out to Corey!! Thanks man!!].
And Deadshot's customized sniper rifle came from a McFarlane Walking Dead toy [it was some chick, I can't remember her name]. But the strap of the chick's machine gun, and its grip, both had to be enlarged before I could use it. The AK47 weapon latched  on his back [attached via a magnet] came from ebay, some guy in China was selling them. And the cool katana blade came from China as well, per the Dr. Wu line of 3rd Party Transformers accessories.
At one point, I thought I'd make my version of the entire Suicide Squad, based loosely on the animated movie called "Assault on Arkham", which was released back in 2014, before the Will Smith and Margot Robbie Suicide Squad movie was released in 2016... But I dunno.... we'll see how things go. Just search for "DSNG Custom Killer Frost" and you'll see the first member of the squad that I created last year [She was posted HERE, in my DSNG blog]...

CUSTOM MARVEL LEGENDS WARZONE CABLE TOY BY DSNG!

Almost everybody that gets into custom figures has probably done their version of this tough guy, so I decided to add mine to the mix...
Cable used to be one of my fav comic characters, back in the late-90s. And since he's a time-traveler, his comic books seem to come and go like the wind. The original toy base model is shown Here, so that you can compare it to what I did...
This Warzone Cable took a long time. I did him halfway and used him for my Domino and Deadpool custom pics over Here.
Anyway, I built this guy upon the original base and added his new armor pieces with putty, along with shoulder armor and shin-guards. His X-belt was sculpted and he was given lots of guns, along with a Gears of War Blaster that was adhered via a magnet to his back. All the silver parts were custom-made. And I added a "nano-engineered cloth" around his mouth, since it's a makeshift air-filter intended to counteract the smoke that he encounters in the futuristic wasteland.

I customized the barrel of the rocket launcher that's added to his back, via a drilled hole and a matching peg that the long weapon came with [I think the weapon came from my Deadpool fodder]. I also customized the handgun that the Cable toy came with, adding a Gundam-model barrel to its underside. Strapped around his chest is the belt of the BAF Juggernaut, and I added some bullet rounds and other straps to it.

After painting his guns silver with Tamiya paints, I added a gray-toned gun-metal wash to them, to make them look weathered. Then his entire body was weathered. And his silver armor pieces were weathered as well. You can observe the left-side and right-side comparison images above, to see what I did to one of his arms [per the added armband and the gauntlet]. He stands very well, and he has about 5 guns and 2 daggers. The holster on his left hip was fully sculpted and glued into position. Stay tuned for more!
